Our Story

Ardi’s Block to Grill is more than your local, artisan butcher. Founded by Ardi in 2018 because of his passion for preserving the traditional values of butchering, Ardi’s Block to Grill has become somewhat of a Surry Hills institution. 2022 is an exciting year for Ardi’s, with a second location opening on Clovelly Road, in the spring. We are currently a finalist in both the Local Business Awards and the Australian Small Business Champion Awards. Ardi’s passion for providing high quality meat, produce, a delicious in-house dining menu and a range of home-cooked ready-made meals is recognised both by his loyal customers and within the industry as both anchoring the foundations, while innovating.

With over 30 years of experience, having worked with some of the best in the business, Ardi is committed to sustaining the core values of butchery through his business. Ardi’s Block to Grill is set to become a pillar in providing a pathway for the next generation of butchers to connect with the traditions of the industry. The concept for the business is built around quality, sustainability and consistency. Ardi has designed the different parts of the business to support the provision of high quality meat, carved in store by the butcher himself. His passion is passed on to his valued customers through so many different details embedded in the business.
